This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Snappy Bin Operations LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information collected through our SMS messaging program.
What Information We Collect via SMS
When you opt in to receive SMS messages from us, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Your name and contact information (from your rental booking)
- The date and time you opted in to SMS notifications
- Metadata about SMS messages, including delivery status, read status, and timestamps
How We Use SMS Information
We use your SMS information for:
- Sending appointment confirmations and reminders
- Notifying you of scheduling changes or rescheduling updates
- Providing customer support and service-related communications
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements related to customer service
Who Has Access to Your SMS Data
Your SMS information is managed through:
- GoHighLevel: Our SMS platform provider that stores and facilitates message delivery (subject to their privacy policy)
- Wireless Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and other carriers transmit messages and may log metadata
- Snappy Bin Staff: Authorized employees who use the CRM to send and monitor messages
We require all staff with access to SMS data to maintain strict confidentiality and use the data only for legitimate business purposes.
Data Retention
We retain SMS message logs and associated metadata for twelve (12) months from the date of the last message exchange. After 12 months, SMS message records are deleted from our systems. Your opt-in status is retained until you opt out by texting "STOP."
Opt-In and Consent
You provide explicit consent to receive SMS messages by checking the SMS opt-in box on our booking form or signup page. Your opt-in is documented and retained for compliance purposes.
Opt-Out and Unsubscribe
You may stop receiving SMS messages from us at any time by texting "STOP" to the number that sent you a message. You will receive a confirmation message. After confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you re-opt-in.
Message Frequency and Rates
Message frequency depends on your rental schedule. Standard messages include appointment confirmations and reminders. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
TCPA Compliance
Our SMS program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines. We only send SMS messages to customers who have explicitly opted in. Messages are service-related communications, not unsolicited marketing. We maintain detailed records of all opt-in consents.
Data Security
SMS information is stored securely in GoHighLevel and protected by encryption and access controls. Only authorized Snappy Bin staff can access SMS data. We implement reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to SMS data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your SMS data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting "STOP"
